It’s amazing how quickly some children are forced to grow up in other countries. They are not left with much choice but to grow up or get left behind. It makes me remember when I was in Lebanon right after the Hezbollah/Israel war in 2006. I saw a 10 to 12 year old boy that was missing both his arms from the elbows down from Israeli unexploded ordinance all throughout the country. It’s sad that we so often forget about the many children and adults in those situations around the world, where each day is more uncertain than the rest. No one should ever have to live like that.
